  • Our aim is to find, and partner with startups and scaleups that will work with us to further advance our capabilities and to give us a unique edge in social commerce.

  • We are looking to engage everyone from late stage (pre-IPO) scaleups through to seed startups. While we prefer to work with established startups and scaleups, we know that great innovation usually starts small, so we’d love to hear from you regardless of where you are on your journey.

  • Open application process will run from September 28th to October 19th at midnight (BST).

    Our team will be available on an Open Forum taking place on October 6th to answer any questions you might have and provide further context and guidance around the ask. Please submit your questions ahead of time via the F6S portal

    We will be hosting two sessions:

    • Morning session: 10AM BST
    • Afternoon session: 16:00 BST

    Shortlist will be announced on November 3rd and 6-8 selected companies will be pitching to our senior leadership and our Beauty & Personal Care community on November 18th, when the winner will be announced.

  • The application process will close on October 19th at midnight and all candidates can expect to hear back from us no later than November 3rd. Due to the number of applications we receive, we sadly won’t be able to provide feedback to everyone.

  • All submissions will be assessed according to the following criteria

    Help us move fast and with impact

    • Bring ease and simplicity
    • Geographical coverage (USA, India, China, UK, Brazil, and Indonesia)
    • Uniqueness of value proposition (killer USP) 
    • Traction evidence
  • We are looking for market signals that demonstrate that you can do what you say you do; this can be demonstrated by highlighting key figures such as funding, revenue, active users, etc.

  • As a starting point, we are looking for partners with the ability to deliver in one or more of our priority markets of USA, India, China, UK, Brazil, and Indonesia.

  • You will have the opportunity to get face time with the Unilever’s global Beauty & Personal Care executive team and selected companies from the pitch day will have the opportunity to explore a commercial partnership with one of our brands or categories.

  • Shortlisted companies will pitch to a panel of senior executives in our Beauty & Personal Care division on November 18th at a virtual-only Pitch event. Don’t worry, you will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions important for your pitch and we’ll help you prep for the event!

  • We may still work with you even if you don’t get shortlisted this time. Our brands are constantly looking to partner with startups and scaleups with specific capabilities. We will keep you in our database and hope to reconnect when new opportunities arise.

  • Our Beauty & Personal Care division is a €20 billion business, operating some of the world’s most loved brands such as Dove, Axe, TRESemme and Love Beauty and Planet. This competition will be spearheaded by our Beauty & Personal Care President, Sunny Jain, and his leadership team.

  • There may be opportunities with one or more of our brands. Unilever Beauty & Personal Care is home to some of the world’s most beloved brands. Our portfolio includes Dove, Clear, Ponds, Lux, Axe, Rexona, Lifebuoy, Vaseline, Nexxus, Dollar Shave Club, Paula’s Choice, Dermalogica, Murad, Shea Moisture and many more.

  • This is a unique opportunity to present your company to a panel of senior executives and key decision makers at one of the world’s leading companies. We are committed and ready to partner with those companies that can help us accelerate our journey into social commerce. Through this process we will also be looking to identify scaleups and startups who share our Positive Beauty for People and Planet vision and support our mission.
